The body of a female staff member has been found in the bathroom of a prestigious school in Sydney, as police search for her male colleague.The grim discovery was made just before midnight on Wednesday after emergency services were called to St Andrew’s Cathedral School on Kent Street, in the CBD, following reports of a concern for welfare.The woman is yet to be formally identified, however, she is believed to be in her 20s and a staff member at the school.According to the Daily Telegraph, police are looking for one of the women’s male colleagues who went missing near The Gap at Vaucluse.The school will be closed on Thursday and Friday, with a message to parents assuring them no students were involved in the incident.A crime scene has been established and is being forensically examined this morning.The woman’s death is being treated as suspicious; however, a post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.A second crime scene has been established in the Vaucluse area and inquiries are underway to determine if it is linked.St Andrew’s Cathedral is a private day school for children from Kindergarten to Year 12.It charges tuition fees up to $36,770 ($23,000 US) a year.According to the Daily Telegraph, parents were told via text.“Year 12 exams will be held in BBC as normal. Year 5 camp will continue as normal.A further text message said: “Update: No students were involved in the incident.“Police are currently investigating and we will keep you updated,” the text told parents.Police are continuing to liaise with school officials.
